A note about Cody

Cody is growing beautifully.  I have found his character to be stable and his confidence is growing daily.  He is friendly to all animals and people so far.  He has strong shepherd tendencies, and welcomes everyone into his herd — but still cries and shows mild distress whenever anyone leaves the group.  He lets me groom him and brush his teeth.

His obedience training is moving ahead.  We are working to perfect his sit-stay and down-stay, and I will soon add a stand-stay.  He responds to the following commands: sit, down, stand, lay head, up, off, lap, leave it, go under, out, go kennel, let’s go.

I am having some trouble teaching “take it”, and he doesn’t really get “tug”, although he will start to drag a laundry basket (empty, of course) and he will try to open a door on command, although he doesn’t pull hard enough yet.

His favorite game is to to go up and down the kiddie slides in the playground.
I will try to send a picture soon.

The first 5 pictures are of the remaining 2 merles. They are both male and one of them is sold but I promised to hold both until Sunday for a very special family. So there is one meryl left from Molly's litter that may be available sunday and one black and white parti , one brown and white parti and possibly 1 merle from Merry's litter ready to go next week. Mason visiting with pups

An update about Dolly

Our Dolly is over 1 1/5 years old now and she is everything we'd hoped for. When we brought her home as a tiny puppy she quickly house trained (3 days!!) and learned all of the commands we taught her. I love how devoted she is to us, and how fun she is to play with. We never have to deal with fur all over the house, and I love showing off her tricks!
